The Light
I wanted to quote a verse from John 12 that’s December 3rd key verse: walk while you have Light. Amos told a rebellious people that the “day of the Lord” wasn’t something they wanted like they thought they did. The religious of the world shouldn’t desire it because they will be judged. The Faithful shouldn’t want it because condemnation will be final for the lost. The Two Definitions of Apocalypse
The World’s definition is the end of all things but that is because they are completely invested in worldly things. They see it as darkness gloom and doom because it is when evil will be removed from the earth. The children of God see Apocalypse as the removal of all things wrong and the unveiling and instituting of Christ’s righteous kingdom. To the evil heart or UN-redeemed soul it is the day they will be completely consumed by the darkness. To those Christ has made righteous by His blood it will be the beginning of an eternity of pure light. Which one are you? If your religion is about you and your hopes and feelings and the things you’ve done: it may be darkness. If your faith is in Christ and what He has done Apocalypse is the unveiling of pure LIGHT. So… As followers of Jesus we should be happy when that day comes? Very, very much to the contrary because the Light test of our life’s work will be face to face. What about those we passed by because we were too busy getting our temporary useless stuff? I believe God will make us be present when they are condemned. I have been through 4 studies of the book of Revelation one with College accreditation. I have read it through more times than I can remember and I understand why saved people should study it. I have heard preachers scream “Why should I study something when I won’t even be here!” They are right in the sense that saved people will be removed from the Great Tribulation: but will loved ones? Revelation wasn’t written to lost people but written to believers saying “Get your heart right so you can shine.” Do you care about others or just yourself. Many things that were impossible to fathom from my first study are the way things are now. If you love people you should be too terrified to say “Even so Come Lord Jesus” for their sake. The death of the 2 witnesses and their resurrection will be Facebook live.
