The Light
I am late writing today (writing September 1st) it’s almost 2 PM. I was conscious of what day today is 2 days ago but I woke up depressed again this morning. I didn’t remember why but today is the 19th anniversary of the day I met and lost someone. I am ecstatic that I got to meet her and I am sorrowful she didn’t stay in my life. So when I got up this morning God led me to turn on the TV and watch YouTube videos. My Watching was mostly centered on a group that sing A-Capella - “Home Free”. It is amazing how someone can sing “I am a Man of Constant Sorrow” and make your spirit soar. I listened to them sing “How Great Thou Art” and a foul mouthed reaction video girl was brought to tears. I didn’t remember why I was subconsciously back in my “Bad Mood Mode” until the listening was over. I kept telling God “I have to do my Job” and I kept being compelled to watch another. When it came time to quit watching the Holy Spirit said “Turn it off”. Then God asked me why I was fighting the LIGHT. I kept tainting what was supposed to be rapturous with what was tedious; God wanted me to enjoy the music. Then I remembered the anniversary of me meeting Anita August 31st – September 1st 2001 at a church outing. For a day I spent time with someone that walked into my heart and took it and filled it.
