'Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven shone around him. ' Acts 9:3 ESV
The Light
Blinding Light
The Glory of Jesus’ presence blinded Saul the unbeliever to where he was led in darkness to his destination. Saul the strict Hebrew named Pharisee died in that darkness. Then Paul which is his name in Greek was born into the true Light of Salvation and received true Sight. The darkness of un-creation again became the Light of Creation when Saul became Paul. Saul met Jesus and he learned why those he tortured could never un-know Him. Throughout Paul’s life of Service to THE LIGHT he recounted that Testimony on numerous occasions. He told it to King Agrippa in chapter 22 and I am sure Cesar heard about THE LIGHT too. From the time Saul saw THE LIGHT Paul shined Jesus into every situation he was in. The Philippian Jailer was saved because of Paul’s singing God’s praises with a stripped back and in chains. I have endured these last few months seeing “Christians” breathing out darkness to my horror. Is God’s Word only a political tool to them? I so fear the effects Godless Sauls will have on our present time. People professing Christ and breathing out sounds of war and destruction: no fountain can yield both sweet and bitter water. The Kingdom we fight for is not of this world. Satan’s head is the only one we are told to bruise. Changing the world can only be done by changing people’s hearts. The Law Saul breathed out was the prisoner of Right and Wrong: the Grace Paul preached is the Child of Right and Light. Are you gearing up to kill this world’s prisoners in the name of religion? How much glory would God receive in you telling Cesar how to know Jesus?
