Belief Means Persistence
Building acoustic guitars has shown me the value of persistence. Once all the pieces are cut there is only a few minutes a day’s worth of work that can be done. Depending on parts being glued together; the glue has to dry and cure at least a day or longer on high-stress joints. In this I have faith that vision in my mind will one day be a finished guitar. Spiritually some beliefs have to endure our entire Christian lifetime as is our eternal Salvation. We will not see the true eternal value of that until we stand truly IN GOD’S PRESENCE. Other works He leads us to can be finished in moments, days, months, or even years. I endured 20 years of being called a hypocrite for one of my relatives before he finally listened and was saved. It took God using his temporal situations to convince him of the reality of his own eternal condition. He was brought to the point of death before he understood HE NEEDED JESUS! Your structure of faith has to be built before you are able to Stand God’s Ground. What Not to persist in
I. Don’t refuse to grow and learn
II. Failure is an Event not a Life
What You always Persist in
I. Is it “Holy Ground” - did God command it and speak it through His Word? Doctrine is non-negotiable. The way of Salvation Has always been “By Grace through Faith, and not of ourselves” and a Gift of God. What is right in God’s eyes will always be right and wrong will always be wrong. II. Always persist in seeking God’s will and His WORD today Look at yourself, your situations and circumstances and then pray and look into God’s Word for changes that need made on a daily basis. No two people; no two days; and no two tasks are the same: always ask God how to work today His way. God’s plan will always work like He planned: if you truly believe him you will persist and you will reap because True Faith can’t give up.
