STANDING GOD’S GROUND
STAND IN THE GAP
Thrown to the Jackals
I got me an over the air antenna to pick up local TV stations a month or so ago. When I began flipping through the channels I landed on VTN – Victory Television Network. When I saw Mike Murdoch talking I bet myself he wasn’t going to finish the first sentence without saying “Dollar”. I wasn’t disappointed – THIRD WORD! His entire message is if you send him your money everything is going to be wonderful. BOLO Wolves are wearing Sheep Skins to try to fleece you. He is completely obvious, but some are less so: and a few are in TV ministry for right motives. When a teacher opens God’s Word and “Rightly Divides the WORD of TRUTH” your spirit will acknowledge it. Instead of being shamed into sending money you will be challenged to serve the LORD. I have been impressed by some and amazed by a few. Personal Level
History Tells the Future
Why do the invaders want to remove monuments? They remind us of History and they will never be able to get us to repeat errors. With reminders of the cost of those errors and sacrifices to correct them in place Wisdom and Reason speak clearly. The Canaanite Error The Canaanites were removed by Israel, not because of Israel’s righteousness, but because they were evil. They made religion about sex instead of God and the demon fathers of their idol worship embraced wickedness. The Demonic false God’s of Baal and Asherah had prostitute priests in their temples. Moloch and Chemosh were Statues with an altar built into their lap for children to be burned as sacrifices. So God judged that they be removed from the land. When Manasseh rebuilt altars of Moloch and Chemosh God pronounced the point of no return of the Kingdom of Judah. Manasseh was taken to Babylon where he repented of that evil and was returned to Jerusalem but judgment was certain. The United States of America’s idols are the donkey and the elephant. We are going the same way as Canaan and Israel: where are the gap standers proclaiming God’s anger at evil? Yes, Gap standers are supposed to be our pastors: their job is to teach you to stand you post. STAND IN THE GAP! Life does depend on it.
