The Light
Read Isaiah 49? Reading this it is Kind of hard to follow who God is talking to. It’s plain at the beginning He is speaking of Jesus and everything in this chapter could be about Him. He left this earth with no actual children so he could be considered barren in an earthly sense. But Jesus has innumerable children Born Again into faith by His Grace. But we know that the Son of God would have never lived in a feeling of abandonment by God. He was only forsaken for a short time on the cross because God had to turn away for Jesus to die. I guarantee you that you will see three persons in this chapter that God is speaking to. 1. You will see Jesus and the sharp 2 edged Sword coming out of His mouth (verse 2). And see Jesus as the Light, the Redeemer and the Savior of all those that believe. 2. You’ll see Israel that would soon be taken captive restored and redeemed from the powers of the oppressors. Those that hold them captive in the darkness will be chased out and God’s children brought back into the Light. 3. And see yourself being redeemed by your Savior and promised by God that He will NEVER forsake His child. I am writing this on Friday night because I have to go sit with my mother tomorrow. Since I wrote this morning I have been rehearsing every faithless thing this chapter addresses in God’s ears. As I read this in my spirit heard “O Ye of little Faith wherefore didst thou doubt”?
