The Light
Yesterday was Shining Brightly, today is dark and dreary. Yesterday was full of strength today I’m spent and weary. Earth’s star was yesterday’s light from dawn to setting sun. But Heaven’s STAR is my Light; God’s only begotten SON. In the brightness of yesterday, I still chose the greater LIGHT. Even though the sun has lost its ray, Today is just as bright. If today were just as black as coal, and life’s way I could not see: I have already resigned my way, to MY LIGHT that leadeth me. Christ’s Light forever in my Heart, doesn’t yield to cloud or rain. His Light embedded in my Soul, Walks through hurts and pain. So there’s no question of giving up, I’ve lived decades in His hands. No matter the time or circumstance, His WAY forever stands. So if Jesus Has shone in you His Light, this dark and dreary day. Today’s your calling to be bright, to show others He is the way. Sing unto the Lord a New Song
Today’s Choice to Praise Him
Verses 18-25 speak to Israel’s refusal to hear and see. Faith sees the future sunshine in today’s rain and the spring blooms in January’s desolation. The forecast says today’s rain will end and that tomorrow will be a sunny day but Meteorologists are Human. While I usually pay little attention to the weather forecast I trust God completely: He says darkness is temporary. I don’t have to defend Almighty God or His plan: I can’t make any of it happen but He will. Could I design this universe? Can I even explain this universe! The greatest minds and most studied of all times… Google can’t even begin to explain what God made. 'For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace. ' Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 ESV
