THE LIGHT
The picture of the 3 monkeys “Hear no Evil – See no Evil – Speak no Evil” just came to mind. It reminds of the paradox in which we live because that process can be good or evil. The good part is it is the process that keeps us from hurtful things: Evil is outside the door. The evil or dark side of that thought is the ones that don’t see the darkness have their eyes closed. 2020 hasn’t actually been that bad a year: but a lot of eyes have been opened. I realize today that people I know are dealing with processing the way to deal with their personal darkness. The first thing I will say is you can’t look to me for your answers. All I can do is direct you to the LIGHT. Hopefully I am passing on useful information that will direct you to Jesus. Do Not Go Down To Egypt

I understand the desire because I have it: I was slave to alcohol and marijuana for my young adult life. I leaned on nicotine to get free from those but I finally leaned on God alone: He set me free. When things get tough I still reach for my breast pocket for the snuff can after 15 years. My phone is in that pocket now so I usually text a friend to pray for me. There have been a few times this year I wanted a shot of whiskey because things have been extreme. None of those things can help me but God always does. A Rebellious People
The Lord Will Be Gracious
'Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him. ' Isaiah 30:18 ESV When you get through the process to actually surrendering your darkness to God He fills it with His Light. I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. Psalm 81:10 ESV Conclusion
