Read Proverbs 15
The Light
Proverbs 15 is still pictures of contrasts between Good and Evil and the wisdom of what those ways bring. I am being led to write today about the effects those ways have on your personal joy and peace. I watched a video about how life would be if you did everything in a fit of rage. It was intended to be funny but that humor was dimmed by the reality I lived for years. I didn’t understand it but I had vitamin D deficiency and my adrenal glands over produced constantly. Some days I lived in a fit of adrenaline fueled rage where I acted just like that video guy. The next day I would be completely exhausted from the stress and barely be able to write even. One day was like trying to beat the day into submission and the next pictured the emptiness it yielded. The Destruction of Darkness
The Construction of Light
With my limited strength I go to God and ask “What do I need to do today LORD”? When the day is done I am completely exhausted but if I follow His lead EVERYTHING COUNTED! First I write this devotional then I go work on necessary things. The other things I do are evaluated on whether or not they are worthy of precious time and energy. Most of what I have been doing around here since my heart operation is sorting out the intentions I accumulated. Like putting Light into life I look through all the junk I brought home. I make what I originally intended or throw it away or recycle it to the scrap yard. But that is all just a physical parable to the Spiritual life. Has this world filled you with spiritual junk and life feels like it is filled with hate turmoil and emptiness? Look at everything in the Light of God’s wisdom and start throwing out the darkness: haul off your junk. Obeying God brings Light, Peace and then real satisfaction.
