Standing God’s Ground
The Warrior 1 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom. 2 Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions. 4 And will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. 5 As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. ' 2 Timothy 4:1-5 ESV Paul’s Last Encouragement to Timothy 1. Paul commands Timothy to keep in understanding that That God is witness between them and the Almighty will judge everyone’s actions and to keep in his heart the KINGDOM and KING he serves. 2. Preach the Word in convenient and inconvenient circumstances: ALWAYS PREACH! Always be prepared to share the Gospel, to guide those straying back to God’s will and encourage. Every message given in COMPLETE Patience and teaching with the love of God as the source. 3. Always be aware the enemy never rests and his message is the lies that people want to hear. Satan’s candy is always laced with addiction and darkness and people look for teachers to proclaim wrong as right. Realize the people that desire such a message and those that fulfill it for them are in GRAVE ERROR and need Jesus. Because Jesus is the truth and what Oprah said is a lie. 4. Keep your FOCUS on God’s Love and leading and don’t let the lines be blurred by the world’s distraction. Realize that suffering for doing right or just plain suffering because you are human is something you will go through. Learn to not be surprised by it but always plan to be obedient no matter what life or Satan throws at you. Make the Good News that Jesus saves every soul that puts their trust in Him your life’s point. And make sharing your testimony of how Jesus saved you the way you live and breathe. Paul’s Example
